What the pictures mean

🚣Too calm under 5 kt — not much wind, grab the oars.
⛵️Sailing weather! 5–15 kt — a great breeze to sail in.
🛟Getting strong 16–23 kt — be careful out there.
🌪️Too windy 24–30 kt — best to wait.
☠️Stay ashore 31+ kt — too wild to sail.

Where’s this from?

This is the wind and temperature from Sandringham Yacht Club’s own weather station — the real breeze right where the fleet sails.

We keep the wind direction simple — one of eight main points: North, North-East, East, South-East, South, South-West, West and North-West.

The time shows when we last checked the club’s station. It sends its reading on its own schedule, so treat it as a live snapshot — and always look at the water too.
