Easy or Pro

Where’s this from?

This is the wind from Fawkner Beacon — the Bureau of Meteorology’s marine beacon out on the bay, the nearest station to Port Melbourne.

We keep the wind direction simple — one of eight main points: North, North-East, East, South-East, South, South-West, West and North-West.

The time shows when Fawkner Beacon last reported — it updates about every ten minutes, so the count climbs to around ten or fifteen minutes then starts again.

Wind from the Bureau of Meteorology at Fawkner Beacon. Always check conditions on the water before you sail.
