Aurora Sailing · at the entrance
This is the entrance, not the bay. The wind here is the open-water breeze before it softens inside the Heads, and the wave height is ocean swell meeting the tide — it can stand up fast on an ebb against a southerly. Treat these as the conditions at the gate: useful for the run down to Queenscliff and for judging what's marching up the bay, not the wind you'll feel at a club berth.
